Top 5 highlights at the Just V Show

Last Friday I undertook the annual pilgrimage to the Just V Show at London Olympia. It’s a great place to try new vegan and vegetarian products and try samples – you sometimes get a freebie or two! As usual by signing up on the website tickets were free.

I was joined by my pal Rosemary and although we only had a couple of hours there before closing we managed to cover a lot of ground 🙂

Every year there is a new trend and jackfruit seemed to be the hottest ingredient of the show this year, included in all sorts of products.

Out of all the amazing products we saw – these are the top 5 that caught my eye…

Violife

I regularly buy the Violife cheddar flavour block at Morrisons. It was good to see the whole range and I picked up a Mediterranean style block which I’m imaging is like halloumi. Will try in salad wraps next week.

Vegan Jerky

We tried a few different brands of vegan jerky and ended up buying the Qwrkee one. I’m a real fan of these snacks especially when you are feeling super hungry.

Bonsan

I’d never seen anything from Bonsan before but they had loads of products at the show. I did the 4 for 3 show deal and got pâté , Philadelphia style garlic cheese spread, teriyaki jackfruit pieces for stirfrys and some Kofu Ragu chunks consisting of fermented kombucha cultured tofu.

All these items are organic and all vegan.

I’ve only tried the Tomato and Lupin pâté on toast so far and I’m addicted!

Vegan Honey & Bacon

Bee Approved is a vegan, organic and gluten free alternative to honey derived from brown rice syrup and you can’t tell the difference between that and the real thing!

Naturinni were on the same stall with tasters of their vegan bacon which was delicious and unlike any other I’ve tried.

I don’t think you can buy it yet but get more info at naturinni.com

Pots 2 Go

Vegan Pots 2 Go are vegan frozen meals that are delivered to your door. They have loads of different meals – looks like a pretty cool new service.

Roll on next year so I can visit again!
